The inclusion of physically rejuvenating and spiritually uplifting activities, such as Yoga, Gym, and Sports, help us to encourage students for unveiling their hidden calibres making us the No 1 University in India. Many of our students are also active members of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Students are also deeply involved in various academic activities organised by the different departments such as guest lectures, workshops, training programmes, etc.

GYM & YOGA

As one of the top private universities in UP, at Invertis University, we are deeply dedicated to our students’ health and well-being. We encourage and urge them to avail themselves of our world-class gymnasium and yoga & meditation facilities. Our gymnasium is well-equipped with physical training equipment and students train under the guidance of a highly-qualified and experienced gym instructor.

Yoga and meditation play an important role in improving the functions of both mind and body and help to channel positive energies, improve concentration and promote a healthy lifestyle. Our Yoga & Meditation Centre is very popular among our students, who practice under an experienced yoga trainer.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR SPORTS

Sports is an integral component of Invertis University’s extracurricular activities and an essential factor in student assessment. Students are encouraged to participate in a number of indoor and outdoor sports activities such as athletics, cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, tennis, badminton, carrom, and table tennis. To enable this, the University has provided excellent infrastructure and facilities. Our students have excelled at many inter-college sports events and have won numerous prizes and awards in individual or group competitions.

Student Clubs are not just a means of expressing one’s creative abilities; they are also highly beneficial in teaching essential life skills to students such as responsibility, organisational abilities, leadership, and teamwork. They also help students to be more confident and motivate them to excel.

At Invertis University, there are a wide variety of clubs to suit all tastes and interests. A presidential team comprising a President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint- Secretary, and Treasurer.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Cultural events are a major part of the campus life of Invertis University’s students. Many cultural activities including folk dance, singing competitions, art & craft exhibitions, fashion shows, plays, etc. are organised throughout the year by the various student clubs and academic departments. Students also actively participate in numerous inter-college and inter-university cultural events and bring glory to the University.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets for the Indian armed forces from high schools, colleges, and Universities from all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. While the officers and cadets are not required to join active military service once they complete their course, they are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on their achievements in the corps. Invertis University students who are enrolled in our 3-year and 4-year courses are eligible to join the NCC Wing(Army & Navy).

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched in 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of Nation, by the Government of India.  It is a voluntary association of young people, especially college students to work for campus-community linkages.  The aim is to develop student’s personality through community service.

The NSS unit of Invertis University provides a platform to the students for community work and developing a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building. NSS volunteers work to ensure that a needy get help to enhance their standard of living. A variety of activities are organized every year to channelize the energy and idealism of the younger generation into creative pursuits. They educate students and society regarding many issues like health, sanitation, palliation, etc. Various health camps and cleanliness drives across campus and slum areas nearby are taken out regularly to create awareness and also to motivate people to work towards a clean environment.

THE EVENTS ORGANIZED

The NSS unit functions under the guidance of a Faculty programme officer. The NSS wing of university focuses on providing access and opportunities to underprivileged in health and education. Some of the major events of the NSS Unit are:

OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the NSS scheme are

  • The students have to understand themselves their relation to the community.
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them.
  • Developing social and civic responsibility.
  • Improving leadership quality.
  • Practice National integration.
  • Developing social harmony skills.
FUTURE AIMS AND PLANS:

With a broader aim to work in the spheres of health, safety and cleanliness, NSS Unit of Invertis University is working to imbibe the idea of social welfare in students and instil the motto of ‘HUM SE TUM TAK’ in them in the real sense. NSS Unit is soon to adopt a nearby slum and will ensure the cleanliness, availability of basic resources, work for education of children, and improve their standard of living.

ACTIVITIES & WORKSHOPS

Counted among the top universities in India, Invertis University is actively involved in a number of academic activities such as Guest Lectures, Webinars, Moot Court Competitions, Industrial Visits, Case Study Competitions, Training Programmes, Workshops, and Fashion Shows.

These activities are periodically organised by the various departments to provide the students with the opportunity to interact with industry practitioners and experience the real-world applications of the subjects that they learn in the classroom.
