80 Lakhs Grant received from DST

It is my pleasure to share that Mechanical Department of our university has achieved a milestone in the field research and development. We are proud that they have received a grant of Eighty Lakh Rupees in the association of Western University Canada from DST for a project, “Improving fire safety of structures through the development of fire-retardant laminated glass glazing.” Among many submitted projects only four projects were selected, two from IITs, one for retired Professor from Oxford University, UK (currently at BITS) and one from our Invertis University.

I appreciate the leadership of Prof. Ajitanshu Vedratnam, HOD-Mechanical and his team for their exceptional work in the field of material science. I truly believe that this will motivate the students, professors and scientists of our nation. I am happy to share the fact that the department of mechanical engineering has published more than 25 SCI and 25 Scopus/ESCI articles this year collectively in renowned international publication houses including Elsevier, Willy, Sage, Springer, American society of Fluid and thermal engineering, European Society of Glass and other major publication houses. We proudly share that the content of our publications is not less than any individual department of any top notch institutions of our country. We are highly indebted by the support and motivation given by our Honorable Chancellor, and every member of Invertis family.

Thanks and Regards

Dr. R.K. Shukla
Dean- Engineering &Technology
