With the globalisation of businesses, cross-border trade, increased dependence of
nations on each other and the need for secure online systems for practically all aspects
of human life, this field of study intersects with every other conceivable field of
study.
The four-year BTech Computer Science and Engineering programme, offered
by the Department of Computer Science, imparts the theoretical, practical, lab-based and
real-life application aspects of computer engineering. During the tenure of four years,
students learn the core computer science subjects in IT infrastructure and management,
digital logic and design lab, operating systems, design and analysis of algorithms,
management information systems, object-oriented techniques and many more.
The students are encouraged to transfer the theoretical learning through lab work,
innovative projects, group presentations and internships with partner industries and
companies. These provide the student jobs ready skills that they can utilise immediately
upon graduating. The four-year programme at our B Tech CSE Colleges
also includes guest lectures by subject experts, site visits to IT companies, case
competitions, real-world industry consultations, and commercialisation of innovative
ideas through the campus-based incubator.
