In the societal domain, the areas of psychological, sociological, economic, political,
historical and legal aspects overlap and affect each other. Anyone pursuing a career in
law needs a firm understanding of the aspects of human thought, cultural practices and
behavioural patterns to be able to interpret and utilize legal jurisprudence for the
benefit of their clients. A study of law is incomplete without knowledge of the nuances
of people’s thinking, social fabric, historical evolution of particular societies,
and economic impacts on lives.
The five-year integrated Bachelor of Arts and LLB programme offered by the Department of
Law, at our BA LLB College in UP, has been put together to address the
same issue. Students within this course are exposed to the principles of socio-legal,
sociological-legal, psychological-legal, monetary-legal and governance aspects so they
