National Science Day has been celebrated by the Faculty of Science, on 28th February 2025 at Invertis
University. This year Science Day has been celebrated on the theme "Empowering Indian Youth for Global
Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat." This day is dedicated to Sir C.V. Raman. It is
celebrated every year on 28th February in recognition of the unprecedented discovery of the Raman Effect
by Dr. Raman. He has been awarded by the Nobel Prize in 1930 for this discovery.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Y.D.S. Arya has given the welcome address. Dean, Faculty of Science Prof. P.P.
Singh has elaborated the role of Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit
Bharat and the important scientific milestones achieved by India.
Renowned scientiest Dr. Shuvendu Rakshit, from Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences
(ARIES), Nainital, has addressed the gathering on the topic of “Unveiling the Wonders of Universe”.
Department has also organized the events like Essay Competition, Quiz Competition & Poster Making
Competition to celebrate the occasion.
More than 250 students have actively participated in above events and winners have been awarded with
Trophies, Medals & Certificates. The program ended with vote of thanks by the Convenor – Dr. Dharmendra
Singh Raghav.
