Trash to Treasure: ‘Jewelry Edition’
The Department of Fashion Design at Invertis University organized an Upcycling Competition: "Trash to Treasure, Jewelry
Edition" on 8th October 2024. This event challenged students to create stunning jewelry pieces using discarded materials
such as fabric scraps, plastic bottles, and metal wires, promoting sustainability and creativity in fashion. Judged by
Dr. Suchita Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Science and Humanities, the competition witnessed
enthusiastic participation from students across all years. The event was graced by Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Prof. P.
P. Singh, and convened by Ms. Tanya Dubey. The winners of the competition were Nayan Shikha Chaudhary (1st Year) as
Winner, Aksa Fatima (3rd Year) as Runner-Up, and Anunaina Saxena (2nd Year) as 2nd Runner-Up. The competition provided a
platform for students to express their creativity while emphasizing the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness
in fashion design.
