Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering conducted a webinar to benefit its students through video conferencing.
This guest lecture was addressed by Mr. Suneel Kumar, Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, Rajkiya Engineering College, Bijnor (UP).
In his session, he discussed about the renewable energy sources, grid interconnections and distributed generation. Distributed generation is also called as onsite generation, decentralized generation which is used to provide clean power to critical loads isolating them from disturbances with origin in the grid. Then he discussed the generation of electricity from many small energy resources. Renewable energy sources are being increasingly connected in distribution system utilizing power electronic converters. Grid interfacing inverter can be controlled to work as power converter to inject power generated from renewable energy sources to the grid and shunt APF to compensate current unbalance, load current etc. Then he discussed the aims and objectives of grid interconnections of renewable energy sources, block diagram, simulation and results. Then he conclude that it results in improved power quality.
Mr. Mon PrakashUpadhyay, HoD EE/EC aided that, "Change your feeling into thinking, make your work as a habit, make your habit as a character, and make a character your destiny. Life's project begins with emotion and ends at destiny. We have to be creative for any project or life events and we should be eager to know the facts of the circumstances.
Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Dean Engineering Prof. R.K. Shukla described this guest lecture as enlightening for the students. Mr. Arun Gangwar, Mr. Pankaj Tripathi, Dr. Ankur Rai, Ms. Manjari Sharma, Mr. Debanjan Roy, Dr. Sourabh Pathak attended the session along with students of B. Tech. & Diploma (EE/ECE).
Department will keep organizing such webinars from time to time to inspire our students, because the youth of today are the warriors of the future."
The event ended with honorarium to the guest.
