Theoretical knowledge is incomplete without practical exposure. So, with this thought in mind CRC Department and B.Com Department of Invertis University, Bareilly jointly organized an Industrial Visit for the students of B.Com (H) and B.Com (Third and Second year) to ITC Ltd. , Haridwar, where students not only visited the industry but also gained deeper knowledge about the real corporate world. ITC's Packaging & Printing Business is the largest value added converter of paperboard packaging in South Asia. It converts over 1,00,000 tonnes of paper, paperboard and laminates per annum into a variety of value-added packaging solutions for the food & beverage, personal & home care products, cigarette, liquor, quick service restaurants and consumer goods industries. The Business offers a bouquet of differentiated and innovative products to meet various functional and aesthetic requirements in packaging enabling enhanced consumer experience and accelerating the shift towards sustainable packaging.
On reaching the ITC Plant, Mr. Roshan Rana (HR Manager) had an interactive session with the students where he familiarized students with the working of plant and also told about the growth of the company since its inception with the help of a presentation. He also entertained all the queries of the students and welcomed their suggestions.
After such an erudite session, Mr. Roshan Rana (HR Manager) made the students visit the plant and showed them the process of packaging. Students were also showed how different type of packaging is done based on demand of customer. Students learned the process of how products are packed, why different products require different type of packing etc. The visit proved to be an elevating experience for the students. While returning to University students get the chance to join the Sandhya Aarti at Har ki Paudi, Haridwar.
