In pursuit of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, the B.Com Department and CRC Department of Invertis University, Bareilly, collaborated to organize an enlightening Industrial Visit for B.Com (H) and B.Com (1st Year) students. On the 30th April 2024, the students embarked on a journey to CNH Industrial, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Accompanied by two faculty members, Mrs. Ruchi Rastogi, and Dr. Mohnish Kumar, the students delved into the real-world dynamics of the corporate sector. Their destination, CNH Industrial, welcomed them with open arms. Mr. Aditya Ghildiyal, the Head of H.R. at CNH Industrial, provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s significant achievements. Notably, CNH Industrial is the second-largest agricultural company in the United States and India’s largest tractor manufacturer.
During the insightful session, Mr. Aditya highlighted the company’s diverse product range. CNH Industrial is involved in tractor manufacturing and produces engines for renowned brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata, and Jeep. The impressive production rate of a tractor every 4 to 6 minutes and the company’s global presence across 69 countries underscored its commitment to growth and innovation.
The highlight of the visit was a guided tour led by a senior engineer. The students witnessed firsthand the intricate manufacturing processes of producing various tractor components. From engine assembly to chassis fabrication, they gained insights into the precision and efficiency required in modern industrial settings. The tour covered production and manufacturing units, including engineering, assembly, quality checking, and safety protocols.
The industrial visit served as a valuable supplement to classroom learning, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in a practical context. For their warm hospitality, gratitude is extended to Mr. Aditya Ghildiyal and the CNH Industrial team. Under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), and Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.COM), the visit proved to be both enriching and fruitful. Special thanks also go to Mr. Chandra Shekhar (Manager, Corporate Relations) for organizing this knowledge-seeking visit.
