The need and importance of physical education and yoga is necessary in students’ lives for their holistic development. Physical education and Yoga are not all about exercising and doing physical activities but it is also about a positive approach to shape responsible individuals. By understanding physical education, students get to foster their mental and physical well-being, learning valuable life skills, and cognitive development.
Having realized the significance of meditation and yoga, B.Com Department (Faculty of Management) organized a Mind Awakening Session on “Yoga and Meditation” for the students of B.Com (2nd year) on 5th March 2024. The session was led by Mr. Raghavendra Rastogi, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Invertis University, Bareilly.
During the session, Mr. Rastogi shed light on importance of physical fitness, components of physical fitness, wellness, importance of weight management etc. Further, he also talked about yoga, asana, difference between asana and physical exercise.
We sincerely thank Mr. Raghavendra Rastogi for briefing students on the importance of physical education, meditation and yoga. The session was a success under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (Head of Department, B.Com) and Ms. Anamika Sen.
