Department of B.Com, Faculty of Management, Invertis University, Bareilly organized an Online Guest Lecture on “Empowering Communities through NGO” on 6th February 2024 for all the students of B.Com (H) & B.Com. Dr. Pooja Shaheen, President - ALDAA Foundation, Lucknow was invited as guest speaker.
Dr. Pooja started the session by giving an insight about what is an NGO and how it works. She made it clear that NGO also provides the same level job opportunities just as a typical corporate do. She also told students the role of NGO in upliftment of society by working on the various critical issues like Road Safety, Drinking water and Women Safety etc.
During the session, she also advised students to have a clear vision and some innovative idea about an issue while working as an intern in an NGO. She explained the different sources of funding which helps an NGO to run different welfare schemes. She also assured to provide internship opportunity in ALDAA Foundation to the students of Invertis University, Bareilly.
The session was very interactive and productive.
