Faculty of Engineering and Technology and IIT Roorkee organized a two days’ workshop on “VIRTUAL LABS” for students of different departments on 7th and 8th October at Invertis University, Bareilly with Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IITR). Let us inform you that Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has appointed Invertis University as the regional center for the workshop of Virtual Lab and Mr. Mon Prakash Upadhyay, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering as the nodal coordinator.
The workshop was conducted by Jasber Singh and Chetan Dhiman, Project Associates at IIT Roorkee.
In this workshop, the students learned that through virtual lab portal they can do all the technical and science related experiments. In this lab all the equipments are available of the concerned subject using which the students can design the circuit and get the actual data. This will save the time and expense. Students will need to visit the physical laboratory just to experience the touch of instruments etc.
The Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam described the virtual lab as important as part of the initiative to advance digital education for the students. The two-day workshop organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Y.D.S.Arya and Dean Engineering Prof. RK Shukla told in the interest of the students. Mr. Arun Gangwar, Mr. Pankaj Tripathi, Mr. Debanjan Roy, Mr. Vipul Pali and Ms. Sweta Agarwal attended the session along with students of B. Tech. & Diploma (EE/ECE).
Department will keep organizing such workshops from time to time to inspire our students, because the youth of today are the warriors of the future."
