B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with Specialization in IOT

Intake: 50

  • Programme Code
  • Duration 4 Years
  • Programme Graduate Programme
  • Department Department of Electrical Engineering
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Energy is a vital resource for every company. Increasing energy prices, rising demand, fluctuating energy markets, and rigorous government rules have prompted many enterprises to develop clever solutions to monitor, regulate, and save energy.

Monitoring energy use throughout your whole business is difficult and results in data silos. In today's connected world, the future of energy is inextricably related to IoT. An intelligent Energy Management System (IEMS) is required to help reduce costs, improve efficiency, and satisfy energy needs. Energy management through IoT offers several benefits in handling the smart grids, effective power conservation, increased security and enhanced efficiency. IoT found its applications in Smart Metering, Monitoring Power Usage and in demand forecasting helps in narrowing the energy spending.

Why to take this course?

Energy is one of the crucial resouces for any business. Rising energy costs, increasing demand Volatile energy markets and strict enforcement of government policies are some of the propelling factors that have led many organizations to find smart ways for monitoring, controlling and saving energy. Monitoring energy usage across your whole organization is a daunting task and often ends up in silos of data. In today’s connected world the energy future will be inexorably linked to internet of things (IoT). The need of the hour is an intelligent energy management system (EMS) that can contribute towards cutting the costs, improving efficiency and meeting your energy demands.

IoT based Energy Management offers several benefits in handling the smart grids, effective power conservation increased security and enhanced efficiency. IoT found its applications in Smart Metering, Monitoring power usage and in demand forecasting helps in narrowing the energy spending.
